Harper Voyager US and Harper Voyager UK have acquired 8 books by TikTok sensation A.K. Mulford. The deal includes Mulford’s breakout series, The Five Crowns of Okrith, as well as a second, entirely new trilogy, The Golden Court.
In 2021, Mulford self-published the first two books in the Okrith series, The High Mountain Court and The Witches’ Blade, racking up over 1 million views and selling over 100,000 copies. Voyager will reissue both novels in trade paperback on September 20, 2022, and then follow up with the hotly-anticipated worldwide release of Book 3, The Rogue Crown, on October 25. Books 4 and 5 will follow in Summer 2023 and Winter 2024, and Book 1 in the new The Golden Court trilogy will come in Fall 2023.
Full of romance and adventure, witches and fae, revenge and rebellion, The Five Crowns of Okrith is fantasy on an epic scale with a focus on personal stories. A continent covered in chaos and darkness, Okrith is plagued by evil—both magical and human. But it’s also a place of hope, where good can shine through if given a chance—and there are people willing to fight for it. A shadow has spread across the land. Will five sparks in the darkness be enough to keep love alive?
Beginning with River of Golden Bones in Fall 2023, The Golden Court is a brand new romantic fantasy series centered around two sisters—Calla and Briar—exiles from a fallen court destroyed by a powerful witch. Werewolves hidden amongst the humans, they are the true power in the land, and a marriage with another pack could bring them back to where they belong: the throne of the Golden Court. But each victory only reveals more rifts between the werewolves—and the humans—and it will take courage, love, and blood to rebuild their kingdom and ensure peace throughout the continent.
